Abstract

University strategic management is considered a fundamental aspect for the correct operation of higher education institutions, although there are many models, there are no instruments that allow the evaluation of these practices at the higher education level. The objective of this work is to design and validate a factorial structure through a systematic literature review and statistical analysis in IBM SPSS Statistics v26.0 and IBM SPSS Amos x24.0. As a result, a valid and reliable questionnaire is proposed, composed of 45 items distributed in six factors: planning, execution, collaborative work, leadership, responsible social participation, monitoring and control. It is expected that this construct will become a tool for researchers and decision makers to characterize and evaluate inter-institutional management practices in order to identify opportunities and develop improvement proposals for universities.
